The 2015 Autumn Fantastic Games, formally the Games of the I Fantastiad and commonly known as Coldhaven 2015, was a major international multi-sport event celebrated in the tradition of the Fantastic Games, as governed by the Fantastic Sports Assembly (FSA). It took place in Coldhaven, Scandavia and to a lesser extent across the country from 3 October to 18 October 2015. The opening ceremony took place on 3 October in the Coldhaven Ring Stadium. More than 2,000 athletes from 28 international teams competed at the Games.
Construction for the Games involved considerable redevelopment, with an emphasis on sustainability. The main focus was a new 210-hectare Fantastic Sports Park, constructed on a former industrial island north-west of Coldhaven. The Games also made use of venues that already existed before the event.
Development and preparation[]
Venues[]
Many of the venues on the island of Kráta have been built before Scandavia's bid for the Fantastic Games, such as the Coldhaven Ring Stadium and the Coldhaven International (indoor Ice Hockey arena). Others have been built just for the Fantastic Games. The Fantastic Park includes 7 Fantastic indoor venues, 3 natural outdoor venues, two warmup venues close to the Coldhaven Ring Stadium and the Halldur Eriksson Arena aswell as a hospitality centre and the press centre. The area is built close to the Klákursson Lake, the biggest lake on the island of Kráta, which is used for rowing and canoeing events.
